Does AI recommend your business?

AI Visibility — Audit, Fix and Re-test Over Three Months

More of your customers now start inside an AI assistant rather than a search box — asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot or Google’s AI Overviews who to use, and taking the answer at face value. This is a three-month program: find out how you currently show up, fix what is holding you back, then re-test against the baseline so you can see whether it moved.

AI Visibility Audit process

Three months, start to finish

Book a call
    Month 1

    Audit and benchmark

We build a fixed set of real questions — both branded and the category questions your customers actually ask — and run them across the major assistants to establish a baseline.

Alongside it we benchmark your competitors, check whether AI crawlers can reach your site at all, and read what the tools currently cite as their sources. You get an audit report with a prioritised fix list and a scorecard to measure everything against. A call to walk through the findings and agree priorities.

    Month 2

    Build and launch the fixes

We copy the site to staging and do the work there — Organization and Service schema, the technical gaps from the audit, rewrites of the priority pages, and a proper FAQ layer answering the questions the assistants were asked.

Everything is checked on staging before it goes near production. You review and sign off the content before it is published, then we launch and re-check.

    Month 3

Re-test and find the new gaps

The same question set, re-run against the Month 1 baseline, so the comparison is like for like. We look at what moved, what did not, and what new gaps have opened — because competitors are changing too.

You get a final report with the results and a plain recommendation for what is worth continuing and what is not.

What “showing up in AI” actually means

Four different things, and most businesses are failing at a different one. The audit tells you which.

Named when someone asks

An assistant is asked who to use for what you do — and your business is one of the names that comes back.

Described accurately

What the AI says about you is current and correct — right services, right area, right impression. Wrong is worse than absent.

Present in the sources

Assistants lean on directories, review sites, news and industry pages as corroboration. Your own site is only part of the picture.

Reachable in the first place

A surprising number of sites are invisible to AI crawlers for purely technical reasons. That is the cheapest problem on this list to fix.

What we measure, every month

Visibility score

How often you appear in answers across the tracked question set.

Share of voice

How that compares with the competitors we benchmark you against.

Accuracy & sentiment

Whether what is said about you is correct, current, and reads well. Wrong is worse than absent.

AI-referred traffic

Visits arriving from AI platforms, tracked alongside your normal search traffic.

Share of voice, the way it is reported

Questions people ask first

Can you guarantee AI will recommend my business?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. These systems are not rankings you can buy a position in. What we can do is measure where you stand, show you what the assistants currently cite, and close the gaps that are closable.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO is about being found when someone searches. This is about being named when someone asks. The work overlaps — both reward clear, well-structured, trustworthy pages — but the measurement is completely different, and ranking well organically does not guarantee an assistant mentions you.

How often do I get a report?

Monthly, for the three months of the program — a baseline in Month 1, progress in Month 2, and the re-test in Month 3. A single snapshot cannot tell you whether anything you changed actually worked.

Do I need a website built by you?

No. This works on any website, whoever built it. If the report says the fix is structural we will tell you that plainly, and you can decide who does it.

You cannot fix what you cannot see

Search at least told you where you stood. AI answers do not — there is no position, no impression count, and no notification when an assistant recommends somebody else. Measuring it first is the entire point.

Next step

Tell us what you need built

Get Leads AU specialises in custom builds — sites and workflows made to be found, including by AI, and built to standards that still hold up in a few years’ time.

  • ✓Custom built, not a template with your logo dropped on it.
  • ✓Made to be found — by Google, and by the AI assistants people now ask instead of searching.
  • ✓Built around what the site has to achieve, not just how it looks.
  • ✓Connected to the systems you already run — bookings, invoicing, enquiries — so nothing gets entered twice.
  • ✓Built to current web standards, so it still works properly in a few years rather than needing redoing.
  • ✓Looked after once it is live. Updates, security and backups are part of the arrangement, not an afterthought.
